What about people who cannot help being fat? What do you mean you may scream? Namely those who are fat because of genetics. They tried and they tried to lose weight and get “fit”. But no matter what they did it made no difference the weight just wouldn’t come off. There are true live examples of people who cannot lose weight because they are genetically predisposed to be fat. But we aren’t talking about those kind of people. We are comparing the habits of fit people to the habits of those people who are struggling with their weight. The ones who can lose weight but just for whatever reason are not doing it or they don’t want to do it. It must be understood that if you really want to lose weight you can. Yes, it will take discipline, (Oh not that D word!) hard work, and self -sacrifice. The first goal in getting rid of excessive weight is you really want to lose the weight. There are definite differences between active people and people who are struggling with their weight. We will look at some of these differences.
Let us face the reality losing weight is hard and it isn’t fun but the end result will be worth the effort. People who are active find solutions to lose weight and go out and fulfill those solutions. They don’t make excuses to not follow through on losing weight and achieving their goals. Some people who struggle with their weight start out great but when the work really gets tough they give up. Or they think is there an easier way to reduce my weight without working so hard? No, there isn’t an easier way to lose weight it will take work and sacrifice no matter which approach you take. Fit people stick with the program no matter how hard it becomes or how much sacrifice they need to make.
