Best Natural Organic Mattress

(Last Updated On: October 17, 2018)

First off organic mattresses are known to smell very bad. I remember reviewing one organic mattress that smelled so bad time and time again the customers complained the smell was unbearable. One customer said the mattress smelled so bad it gave her a headache. She had to put it out in the shed. Finally, the mattress did air only by only 50% and that was after several days of airing out. I say all this because for an organic mattress to be the “best” it must not emit any foul odors. By nature of the organic mattress construction, it should not emit any chemical or any other type of outgassing smells. There were other organic crib mattresses that were reviewed that had the same issue they smelled so bad.

One client reported that the mattress smelled so bad her baby girl would wake up crying several times a night. In the morning, the mother went into the baby’s bedroom and the whole room smelled like the mattress. The worst part was the baby smelled like the mattress and the mother would get a headache the smell was so bad. Other customers aptly pointed out that an organic mattress costing $500.00 dollars smelled so bad it was very hard to air it out. They said the company should address the issue of the stinky mattress and come up with a process to eliminate the smell. The mattress was expensive too so you would think the odor problem should be dealt with. These are some of the issues you want to iron out before you buy an organic mattress. They tend to be more expensive than traditional mattresses. Let’s take a look.

Benefits and Uses: First off this is a kid’s mattress and it is so expensive because it costs almost $1100.00 dollars. This mattress has been certified by two organizations as being officially organic. It is free of formaldehyde. (It is a colorless pungent gas in a solution made by oxidizing methanol) The mattress contains 7-inch coils that deter motion and give support for growing kids while they sleep. They will also relieve pressure points giving a growing child a comfortable sleep. These mattresses are handcrafted depending on raw materials available so no mattress will be the same. These may be true facts but they don’t justify the very high cost of the mattress. It is made from organic cotton fabric and the filling is taken from cotton that has not been treated with harsh chemicals. The top quilt wicks moisture and provides resilience for a comfortable sleep. The mattress is free of polyurethane foam including memory foam, soybean foam, and eco-blend foams. The mattress is free of other harmful chemicals as well. The company claims the customer service is outstanding and the company offers a 10-year warranty on the mattress. The company is with you step by step and they will help you select the best mattress for your child.

Feedback: The customer says they bought a mattress that they were allergic to. They bought this organic mattress and contacted the company saying they needed the mattress quickly. The company, according to their customer, reacted quickly and shipped the mattress to the customer quickly. The mattress had no foul smell but it did permeate the room with the smell of cotton. The customer says to open the windows to air out the smell of the cotton if it bothers you. The mattress is firm which the customer likes and the mattress cannot be flipped. The company has other options to pick from. The customer says the mattress met their personal standards and they will buy the mattress again. The first night they somehow slept on the wrong side of the mattress but they threw a blanket over the springs and they still slept like a baby. This is supposed to be a child’s mattress, not an adult’s mattress so I am not sure why an adult bought the mattress for their themselves. The customer rated the mattress 5-stars. The adult has the right to buy a kid’s mattress to sleep on but it is odd that an adult would buy a kid’s mattress to sleep on.

Natural Organic Mattress

The customer said they usually do not write reviews but they wanted to record how bad this mattress was. It came in the package as expected. The customer took the mattress out of the box and set it up. The mattress never inflated to its normal shape even after 3 to 4 days. The cover was wrinkled and looked terrible. It did not look like the plush mattress in the image. The mattress the customer received was wrinkled and the cover looked like a mess. This is on a bed that costs $1100.00 dollars keep in mind. The company said the mattress was fine and even after the customer sent the images of their mattress to the company the company said the mattress looked fine. The customer asked if they should return the product or get a replacement mattress? The company did not respond to so the customer returned the mattress through Amazon. The customer will not buy a mattress from this company again. The customer went to their local organic mattress company and bought a mattress from them. The customer rated the mattress one star and can you blame them? This is rotten customer service on the part of the company. The company brags they have great customer service too. How untrue and ironical that assertion is.

Another adult who bought a kids mattress. The customer bought a mattress that outgasses so bad that the customer’s nose was inflamed, the eyes were swollen, and the customer could hardly breathe. They claim their throat was swollen and they said it was a terrifying experience for them. The customer had done a ton of research on how outgassing can ruin your health. The customer is 28 and bought this child’s mattress and it was shipped quickly. The mattress filled the room with the smell of cotton and the mattress is firm and not soft. The customer emphasizes the mattress is not soft but firm and this is how the customer likes the mattress nice and firm. The client rated the mattress 5-stars and the client plans on buying an organic pillow.

Feedback: The customer waited 3 days before they slept on the mattress and they say the mattress had no smell when they took it out of the box. The client says the mattress is about 10-11 inches thick but less on the corners. The customer says they can feel the mattress springs when they touch the sides. But when they suit on it or sleep on it they do not feel the mattresses. The customer rates on a scale of 1-10 that the mattress rates a 5 on the softness scale. The 5 score is when the client sleeps on the mattress but then the client rates the softness a 7 but is this when they are touching or sitting on the mattress? The customer does make the 7 rating clear as to what it applies to. The customer will update the review in a few months. The client rated the mattress 4 stars in this review. The customer thinks this mattress is as good as those mattresses that cost $1000.00 dollars in the big stores. It is not clear why the customer only rated the mattress 4 stars instead of 5 stars it just does not make sense. The customer really seemed to lie the mattress.

The customer is a big guy so he bought a king-size mattress and it was good for a couple of weeks. He thought he would be able to keep it for a couple of years while he is in school. Anyway, the mattress felt fine and plush and soft. But as time went on the mattress began to deteriorate because if the customer rolled over in a certain way he could feel the springs poking his back. He thinks maybe he will try and tough it out with this mattress because he does not want to go through the hardship of buying another mattress. He says the mattress just kept getting worse but if it gets unbearable he will have to buy a new one. The customers should have returned the mattress. He says he hopes he just got a defective mattress but it sounds like he just bought a lousy made mattress. The customer rated the mattress 2 stars. The customer writes the mattress may not be for the person who is looking to buy a long term mattress.

The customer says the mattress came and it had a strong chemical smell. The customer hoped the smell would eventually dissipate. The customer says once they try the mattress they will write a better review. The customer updated the review and said it was a bad buy. The customer could feel the springs and the edges are flat. It is hard to get out of the bed and they say if you are older or have medical issues don’t buy this mattress. The mattress is too hard to get out of. The customer says the price was decent and suggests you relegate the bed to a guest or child’s room. It does not seem right to put the bed in a guest’s room or a child’s room. Why should they sleep on the bed? The customer rated the mattress 5-stars.

This customer said this is the second mattress that they have bought. The first one they bought for the adult son and day after day the mattress has worked out great. They bought a second one for their daughter but they had some concerns about the mattress. They thought it was too mushy when they sat on it. But once they slept on it full length it was firm. It took 2 days for the mattress to return to its original size. There was a slight smell but it dissipated after a couple of days. The mattress sits on a foundation because the customer does not have a box spring.

Feedback: The customer’s wife is a Naturopathic doctor and suggested to the customer they buy an organic mattress for their baby girl. The customer was hesitant because they are so expensive. The wife explained the little girl will have her face in a regular mattress that will release chemicals and out gassing into her face all night. This really concerned the parents so the customer went online and found this mattress. Before the customer went online they went to an organic mattress store and they could find nothing for the daughter. All the mattresses were too flimsy and not firm enough for the parents.

The customer found this mattress online and they bought it. It came and it was taken easily taken out of the package. The couple hauled the mattress into the daughter’s room with no hassle. There was no smell and the little girl seems to be sleeping well on the mattress. The customer lays on the bed with the daughter when he reads her stories.
