Best Primer for Combination Skin
Combination skin can be tricky to work with. Some areas of the skin will be dry and other areas will have excessive oil in pores. So is it hard to find just the right primer to apply to combination skin? Is there a product that can meet the delicate balance between the dry and oily areas of combination skin. There are many reputable products that can be bought on the internet today. It is just a matter of doing a little surfing and you can find all kinds of primer products for combination skin. We have done some of the surfing for you and have listed some of the finer primers below. Go ahead a take a look.
Benefits and Uses: It will last all day for 8 to 12 hours. It contains antioxidants and vitamins that will not clog pores and we know what clogged pores can cause-acne. It leaves the skin feeling soft and also works well as a moisturizer. It is safe to use for oily and sensitive skin. And it is good for people who have combination skin. It can remove redness, excessive oil, and that annoying dry, itchy, and flaky skin. You can also use on the normal skin it is pretty versatile with all the different skin types it will treat. Retain that beautiful and wow look with this product. The company says it will eliminate acne, (I do not know how a primer could do that other than cover acne up) wrinkles, minimize pores, get rid of fine lines, eliminate blotchy skin, and generally make the skin look radiant and smooth. It is free of parabens, free of scent and it is an American-made primer. It may be made with all natural ingredients but it definitely does not contain harmful ingredients.
Feedback: This 58-year-old consumer loves this product and this is exactly what she has been looking for. She has issues with dry skin and oversized pores. This primer took care of both problems for her. She likes the idea that it has all organic ingredients contained in the product. She likes using organic products for her beauty treatment. She uses it every day before she puts on her makeup. Her skin looks smoother, younger and shinier. The only complaint she has about the product is that the tube is too small. She would like to see the company make a bigger size tube. Preferably and not charge more money for it. This consumer is low-maintenance when it comes to using makeup. But this is one product she will stand by until they stop making it. She puts it on and uses it as a foundation and a moisturizer. It is hiding the big pores on her nose. She loves the product.
She like the product because it goes on nicely and the best part is it makes her makeup stay intact and it looks flawless. The client likes the product because it goes on lightly and it was shipped quickly to the house. The product was sealed and packaged tightly. Also, it makes her skin feel very smooth and it is one of the best primers she has ever used. Another customer says it is the best primer they have ever used but they do not say why it is the best primer they ever used. Reasons for why it is the best primer they ever used would be nice to know. Another client says it is a good primer but not the favorite primer. Again, why isn’t their favorite primer? What are the reasons they really do not like this primer? The comments are good but we need to know the reasons why they are being said. It will help others decide whether to buy the product or not.
This is not a funny review. The consumer tried it on her skin for a primer and moisturizer and she wore it for a few minutes. The oddest thing happened it started beading up on her skin. So, she not wanting to be weird or think she was weird tried it on her husband’s skin. It really was gracious of him to let her try it on his skin. It beaded up on his skin too. So it was not just her skin that reacted with the primer but the primer was defective. This consumer was not happy with the effects of the foundation on her skin. It had no color and it went on smoothly but it did absolutely nothing for her skin. She applied it to the redness on her nose but it did not eliminate the redness on her nose. It said on the product it would eliminate redness on the skin. Is this false advertising or did the product just not work on this customer’s skin type?
Another consumer said she thought it would be as good a primer as SmashBox primer was but she was disappointed. It makes one wonder what the SmashBox primer did that this primer did not. If she could have given a comparison of the two primers it would have been an awesome review. She could have reviewed the two products right there side by side. The company may not have liked their product being compared to another product but it would have served the whole purpose of a review. And that is to compare two products together to see if they are equal or one is better than the other.
Benefits and Uses: It says to use the product alone for great looking makeup that stays in place for a long time. The only red flag of this product is the ingredients listed all the chemicals that were three miles long and could not be pronounced. This is ever never a good sign when the ingredients are strange sounding chemicals that you cannot pronounce or that you have never heard of. This may indicate that none of the ingredients are or natural. It can be used on the hands and the neck as well. The manufacturer claims that makeup artists use it worldwide. This point can be debated because how can you prove that makeup artists use the product worldwide.
Feedback: The client likes the primer but the one she chose goes on too lightly. She should have picked a lighter color. One client bought it for another person and this person is happy with the product. This client thinks the product goes on lightly, feels like silk and it really works on her skin. This customer has now come to depend on this product. It makes her skin glow and it goes on smoothly. She is a repeat customer and it has become an essential product for her. She likes it and she will keep buying it as long as they keep making the primer. She hopes the product is never discontinued. She likes it that much.
The male customer says the primer is good quality. This is all he wrote for his review which tells us absolutely nothing about the quality of the product. The customer needs to know why the product is a good quality product. People want to know why they should spend their money on a product. They want to know a product will work for them and meet their particular needs.
The customer does not really like the product because it comes out in a fine line and she is struggling with acne. She doesn’t like the fact that comes in so much packaging and there is so little primer. This primer is too dry for her skin and she doesn’t like this either.
She says she has issues with acne but whether the primer helped with the acne or not is not known. She has to use too much primer every time making it way more expensive than we would like to pay. She doesn’t like the way primes come in excessive packaging and they have such little product. All this excessive packaging fills up landfills to fast which bothers her. The landfill comment is irrelevant to the quality of the product or how she likes it. It Should not have been put in for the review. She said the primer is ok and she gave a thumbs up to the packaging. She says once the primer is on it hides the fine lines and covers up the large pores. She is still on the hunt for the perfect primer and the perfect packaging. Apparently, the packaging is very important to this person but it really has no bearing on the quality of the product.
This client said they used the product just once and it clogged their pores. The description on the product said it would minimize pores not clog them. If the pores get clogged it will give acne an open door to spread all over the skin. The primer is said to stop acne not increase it.
Benefits and Uses: The primer acts like super glue because once you put your makeup on you will have it on for hours guaranteed. The primer works that well.
Feedback: Overall the product did not receive very good ratings. Barely half of the 96 reviews written on the product gave it a 5-star rating. This good is a bad sign for the company concerning selling this product in the future. The first customer was not impressed with the product at all. The company stressed in the description how great this primer was at absorbing oil in any amounts from the skin. The customer said the product did nothing in the way of absorbing the excess oil from her skin. It did nothing for her.
The company reached out to her concerning the product. She answered them and she never heard back from the company. She is not impressed with the company or their product. The primer is sitting in her cupboard to never be used again. The company displayed poor customer service by initiating contact with the customer and then not responding to er after the initial contact. This does not say anything positive about their customer service. This sends the message to the customer that the company does not care about the customer’s concerns or their needs. It is doubtful the company would accept the product back or give any sum of money back.
The customer says so far the product is working well for her. She says it does not give her skin that cool feeling like some alcohol-based primers does. I do not know that this primer is alcohol-based. She says it arrived quickly and this was good for her. She was excited o use the product and has high expectations for what it will do for her skin. She says midday is when her forehead becomes very oily. She needs to wait and see how the primer is going to work on her skin. She will update her review but she did at this point give the primer a 5-star rating. This may be premature on her part because she doesn’t know if the product will work for her or not.
This is not good news for the primer but it burned this client’s face really bad and it did nothing to improve the nature of her skin. Her skin was as oily as it always is even after using this product. She said the oil production remained the same throughout the day. Again, the company was really emphasizing how well the primer absorbed skin oil in any degree out of the face. It did nothing for this lady and she is the second customer to complain that the primer was useless in absorbing skin oil.
Benefits and Uses: It feels like you are wrapping velvet over your skin and it keeps makeup in place all day. It will make your makeup look like you just put it on. This is how fresh-looking this primer can keep makeup looking all day. It is waterproof but that doesn’t mean you should try and go swimming with this primer on. It will work with all skin types but its best matchup is with the combination and or dry skin types.
Feedback: The customer says it keeps her makeup on for hours and keeps it looking fresh, It keeps her makeup flawless for hours. Conversely, this client says it is a good product but it does not last long on their oily skin.Yet another customer loves the matte finish it leaves on her skin. It takes away the shine and she can apply light foundation and powder to her skin. This customer has very oily skin and she says that the primer keeps the makeup on for hours (contrary to the other one who said it will not stay on their oily skin.) and she is glad it has all natural ingredients which are safe for her to use on her skin. She says if you have dry, normal, or slightly oily skin and you don’t plan on any strenuous activities it should last on the face all day.
Benefits and Uses: The product had no description describing the benefits it had to offer. Which is never a good sign because then you are left wondering if the company has something to hide about their product. Or it has no significant benefits to offer. In these cases then hopefully the reviews will shed light on how good or bad the product is.
Feedback: This is a very good sign for the product because there were 20 customer reviews written on the product and all 20 clients gave the product a 5-star rating. The comments generally said it goes on light and works well independently or under makeup. It sounds like it is a sunscreen/primer. The one weakness it has is that it does not cover dark spots but it goes on very lightly. All 20 reviews had very positive things to say about the product. It seems to be a high-quality product according to the 20 reviews.
As we said at the beginning of the article there are some really good primers out there to be used for people with combination skin types. They have special needs and this product should be able to meet those unique needs. These primers are supposed to be specially designed to meet the unique needs of people with combination type skin. Most of the products are reasonably priced and will not inflate any budget. If you are on a budget these products should fit well within your financial limits. Some of the products are not limited to just combination type skin but they can cover oily, normal, dry, and sensitive skin types as well.
