Did you know that you can get eczema on the scalp? I didn’t even know that was possible but apparently, it is a real problem among many people. It is known as scalp eczema what an obvious name. It is defined as the scalp having red and itchy spots on the skin. The skin flakes after it dries and it falls off. We all know what this is called-dandruff. It can be very painful especially if you start itching it all the time. The more you itch it the worst it becomes and it gets more irritated.
There are specially made shampoos that can help to treat and relieve the discomfort of scalp eczema. I am not sure if eczema can be seen on the scalp because the hair may cover it up but for those who are bald it can be an embarrassing condition to have. Eczema will be in plain sight but whether it is visible or not it is a very painful skin condition to have. But there shampoos available that can treat and eliminate eczema on the scalp. It is a chore to comb your hair because it can be very painful. But if you find the right shampoo designed for eczema it can soften the skin and alleviate the dry itchy and red skin. Combing the hair will be a pleasure again.
Benefits and Uses: The product was rated number one by dermatologists and pediatricians for safe using. In other words, you could not be using a safer shampoo for eczema on your baby so the company says. It is tear free and hypoallergenic and it is dairy free. It does contain soy in the ingredients. It nourishes the scalp and will prevent cradle crap. It smells warm and comforting so baby will be at ease during the bath. But how can something smell warm and comforting? What does warm and comforting smell like? It has naturally derived plant ingredients in the formula and it will soothe the dry and itchy scalp.
Feedback: The customer was an adult with no children. They consider themselves to be an earth-hippie type as they said in their own words. They do not like the perfumy smell of mainstream hair shampoos. They read some reviews of this product and some people said it smelled strong like men’s cologne and others said it smelled sweet. This customer said it had an earthy scent which the customer likes. The customer was looking for a body lotion/ hair shampoo to use for quick showers. They stumbled upon this product and bought it. They said it left the hair feeling nice and soft even while they were showering. They did not say whether the shampoo worked well or not. They do have eczema but they did not say if the shampoo helped to clear eczema or not. The only complaint they had was the shampoo was too expensive and it came in a small bottle. The bottle is 8 ounces and costs almost $10.00 which is too expensive. Overall, the review was not helpful because it did not tell how good the product was.
This customer says the product does not lather a lot which is typical for a sulfate shampoo. You can use a little bit and cover your baby’s head. The shampoo helps to alleviate dry skin but not completely this the customer was not happy with. The baby’s skin was still a little dry after the shampoo was used. Another complaint was that the shampoo smells really strong, in fact, too strong. The customer did not like the smell. The customer applied some baby shampoo to their eyes and it burned their eyes so they warn to keep the shampoo out of your baby’s eyes. The company says the shampoo is tear free but this may not be true. Or it may have irritated the customer’s eyes and not the baby’s eyes. The customer may have very sensitive eyes and I am not sure it is wise for the person to have poured the shampoo into their eyes.
The customer says they have used this product for both of their children. The first born has very sensitive skin and it did not irritate the baby’s skin at all. The customer said the smell is less than desirable and she really does not like the smell of the baby shampoo. She does say that anyone who has children with sensitive skin should use this baby shampoo. I wonder if the oat in the baby shampoo is what is making the baby shampoo smell so bad. This is the third customer complaining about the smell of the shampoo. This is too many complaints about the smell of the product to not be a problem. The company needs to address this issue and change the scent of the baby shampoo. There are too many complaints about this not to be a true issue.
This is a change of pace. This customer says the shampoo works great on the baby’s eczema. The customer likes the smell and says the shampoo is a good purchase. The customer writes that their baby loves to play with the bottle in the bath. Like one customer noted it is odd that some people like the smell of the product and others say it is a terrible smell. The parent says her boy has had bad eczema since he was a newborn. They have been using this shampoo for a long time and it has kept the flare-ups to a minimal.
The grandmother accidentally used a different shampoo in the boy’s bath and the boy had small eczema flare-ups all over the body. This accident showed the contrast to the mother of how well this shampoo works for her son in comparison to other shampoos. This shampoo really does work at keeping eczema at bay she says. She also notes her son is sweaty and hot and he stinks. This shampoo was given a 5-star rating by the customer. She says the shampoo works so well why switch to another one? It was kind of cruel to say her son stinks though.
Benefits and Uses: It is supposed to nourish and soothe the scalp. It should treat scalp eczema very effectively. The orange brings a light scent to the equation and the coconut oil provides a little extra lather. Other ingredients in the formula create healthy hair and repair damaged skin. The product contains no sulfates and will help to restore lost hair. Sulfates cause hair to thin and become brittle. The company says the shampoo is safe for babies to use.
Feedback: The customer has suffered from dermatitis for years. She would get flakes and red itchy oozing scabs. She tried everything under the sun and even the medications doctors prescribed only made her skin drier, flakier and of course, the scabs would appear. Nothing worked until she tried this shampoo. It worked after only two days of use. She habitually picks at her scabs but this time she found no scabs and there were no flaked either. The dry skin is gone as well. She adores the product. It is the first shampoo that has worked for her in years. The customer is a 37-year-old female who has eczema on her scalp and other parts of her body. Eczema would become red, irritated and she would have oozing from the infected areas. She even got infections from the skin condition. She tried the shampoo and it immediately cleared eczema on her scalp. The first time she washed with it she felt the difference.
The customer over the past few years has become sensitive to ingredients in hair shampoos even the ones that are touted to be natural and organic. The customer tried this product and the skin had no reaction to it. The customer feels safe using the product and they know they are not washing their hair with any harmful chemicals. The hair is clean and the scalp is healthy. The customer thinks they have finally found a truly natural shampoo. So far so good for them. The customer recently started using the shampoo and the customer thinks it is helping the hair and scalp to stay healthy. The hair feels clean and the customer does not like scented hair shampoos but this one has a slight orange scent. It does not lather very well but the customer says it is working. It may to early in the game for the customer to really know if the shampoo is working or not. Despite this, the customer would recommend it for others to use.
The customer really wanted to love the product but she cannot. She has tried may hair shampoos for her scalp condition and nothing works. She thought this product might work but it has done nothing to help her scalp. Did I mention she said it was scaley as well? The shampoo makes her hair feel clean and it has not hurt the color of her hair. It just has not worked for her scalp. She will continue to use the product until it is gone because she spent so much money on it. Her hair is so dry she only shampoos it every 2 or 3 days. The customer has eczema and was hoping the product would help to treat the condition. She was sorely disappointed the shampoo did nothing for her scalp eczema. The shampoo is not any better than any of the other shampoos with similar ingredients. She says there is nothing special about this shampoo it did nothing for her scalp. She paid over $10.00 for a 4-ounce bottle of this shampoo which is ridiculously overpriced. Yes, it has worked well for some other customers but this is way too much to spend for such a small bottle of hair shampoo. You would expect it to do more for her because it is so expensive.
Benefits and Uses: It is supposed to naturally soothe eczema, dry scalp, and eczema. It has a no tears formula and it has honey which is able to treat eczema and attract moisture to help soothe the dry scalp. I am not sure what the shampoo smells like with honey in it. We will or should find out from the reviews. The shampoo contains many minerals and vitamins that nourish and moisturize the scalp. The shampoo can stop diaper rash as well. The company donates 1% of the profits to an earth organization and other charities to help kids to learn to care for the environment.
Feedback: This consumer uses the product as feminine soap and washes the face with it. It does not lather very much but it cleanses her face very well and removes the makeup efficiently.
It doesn’t dry the skin and she likes the smell. She knows that others have complained about the scent. It does not last all day the scent but she wishes it would. She would love to smell that sweet scent all day. Honey in a shampoo would not smell too good. She uses the shampoo/body wash for a unique reason as her face wash. I have never heard of anyone using a hair shampoo for a face cleansing soap. But it seems to work well for her.
The customer says he wanted to try the shampoo but it did not work well for him. He has fragrance allergies (I have never heard of those before) and he needs to watch what he is smelling. This shampoo did not bother and he said most natural scents to not affect him. The other ingredients overpowered the sweet honey smell and this made the scent too much for him. His hands smelled too flowery but the shampoo gave his short hair full body. His wife told him to take another shower because she did not want to smell his hair from 20 feet away. Apparently, this shampoo has a very obnoxious odor. It really sounds like the shampoo/body wash is too sweet smelling for men. This is bad if even his wife did not like the smell of the product.
Benefits and Uses: You get 2 4-ounce bottles of product for almost $23.00 this is way overpriced. No matter how good these products could potentially work it is not worth the priced it is being charged. I am sure some of the reviews will complain about the price of the products. The products contain ingredients that will stimulate hair growth and speed up the healing of eczema the company claims. It will heal baby’s skin and dry, sensitive damaged skin. It is able to treat many scalp conditions including eczema and it is perfectly pH balanced.
Feedback: This is an unpaid review and the customer wrote the review because she was impressed with the products. She suffers from a scalp condition and nothing in the past has worked for her. She says she goes through moods of depression because she gets such a buildup on her scalp. She tried these products and said it reduced the symptoms, itchiness, and scaly skin by 80% which is huge for her. She has frizzy/curly hair and the products leave her hair shiny and full of body. She loves the product without a doubt. It sounds like these are the best products she has ever used for her hair.
Benefits and Uses: The product has been around for a long time and has been used for various skin conditions including eczema. But whether the ancients knew what eczema was is not known. The product is 100% guaranteed by the company. It contains no parabens and it has never been tested on animals. Apparently, the animals did not have a serious dandruff problem. It can be used for many parts of the body and both men and women can use it.
Feedback: A few of the customers had serious athlete’s foot conditions and this product really cleared it up for them. The product clearly says in the product description that it would treat ringworm. Well, this customer has ringworm and tried the product. It did absolutely nothing for the ringworm and the customer did try it for one week using it twice daily. The only thing it did was make the skin drier.
Check out the review list of some of the better shampoos on the market for eczema. Some of the reviews raved about the products the customers used and other customers absolutely had no success with the products they used. One person, in particular, had ringworm and tried a product that was supposed to treat ringworm. The product made the customer’s skin drier and it did not do anything to remove the ringworm. Some reviews are written stated dramatic results of treating scalp eczema for the particular hair shampoo they used. There is a broad spectrum of products in this review list so you should be able to find one that will work for you.
