If you’ve got loose teeth, then you’ve got gum disease. It may not be at an advanced stage yet, but I’ll put money on it that you see blood on your toothbrush when you clean your teeth.
Mangoes are rich in antioxidant polyphenols, and this abundance of healthy antioxidants isn’t limited to the delicious fragrant fruit, the leaves of the mango tree are a rich source of antioxidants too.
Tangerine essential oil is part of the citrus family of essential oils. Other citrus oils include Sweet Orange, Bitter Orange, Mandarin, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Petitgrain, Neroli (Orange Blossom) and Yuzu.
While Neroli essential oil is obtained from the flowers of the bitter orange tree and petigrain from the leaves and the twigs of the same tree, the other oils in the citrus family are all obtained from the rinds from their fruits.
Unlike the majority of essential oils which are steam distilled, these fruit rind oils are obtained by cold pressing the rind to extract the oil.
Red Root is a pretty shrub bearing clusters of white, pink, cream and purple flowers, that grows wild in several regions of North America – it’s abundant in the west, but also thrives in the midwest and in parts of the north-east. The plant is named for its deep crimson root, and has also been called New Jersey Tea. During the American Revolution when tea was scarce, Red Root was used as a tea substitute because its leaves taste very similar to black tea.
Other common names for the plant include Redshank, Mountain Lilac, Buckbrush, Snow Brush, and Desert Buckthorn. Its botanical name is Ceanothus americanus.
The leaves have been used medicinally, but the main healing properties of this plant come from its root and it’s this part of the plant that herbalists use today.

My mother was diagnosed with prediabetes in 2015 and her doctor told her that she would need medication very soon if she didn’t make some changes to her diet. The problem was that she already ate the standard ‘heart healthy’ diet that the doctor recommended she now follow to reverse her prediabetes.
