When most people think of white tea, they imagine black tea taken with milk. White tea however isn’t that very English way of taking tea, it’s a particular form of tea with its own distinct properties.
All true tea comes from one plant Camellia Sinensis. From this plant we get black tea, green tea, white tea and the large number of oolong teas. Other ‘teas’ made from herbs and fruits are technically infusions, or as the French call them, tisanes.
Essential oils are good for the body and the mind. We spend a lot of money on products that are supposed to be beneficial for our health and beauty, but many of these products are harsh, man-made and simply don’t have the desired effect. In some cases, they can even cause us to have an adverse reaction. To keep our body and mind healthy, we need to restore balance and use products in our daily lives that work in harmony with us.
Essential oils have been used for thousands of years in medicine and in healing rituals. Their use can be traced back to ancient Egypt, where the first machines to distil the oils extracted from plants were invented. The Chinese used the oils to improve the mood and to reduce stress, and to bring the body back into the balance that was necessary for good health. The ancient Greeks developed their theories and knowledge about how different fragrances could have healing effects. The Romans took the Greek ideas and developed them further, then a French Chemist discovered by accident that lavender oil healed burns; the interest in essential oils for treating conditions of the body and mind grew and grew.

It could be due to a health problem, lifestyle factors or stress. Whatever the cause, there are ways to live our lives that will boost our wellbeing.
Tangerine essential oil is part of the citrus family of essential oils. Other citrus oils include Sweet Orange, Bitter Orange, Mandarin, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Petitgrain, Neroli (Orange Blossom) and Yuzu.
While Neroli essential oil is obtained from the flowers of the bitter orange tree and petigrain from the leaves and the twigs of the same tree, the other oils in the citrus family are all obtained from the rinds from their fruits.
Unlike the majority of essential oils which are steam distilled, these fruit rind oils are obtained by cold pressing the rind to extract the oil.
