Why do people get so repulsed by their frizzy hair.

People with frizzy hair do they think that their hair will be like that for the rest of their lives. Do they think there is any method out there that will help them get rid of those frizzies once and for all? Do they think they will have to take out a loan to pay for the treatments? Actually, there are numerous common sense and cost-effective methods on the internet to remove frizzy hair. Do you want to get rid of your frizzy hair? Then read on and find out how.

Let’s start our journey off by explaining what causes frizzy hair in the first place. Basically, what happens is when hair is dry or  damaged the outer layer of the hair (the cuticle) lifts and allows moisture to pass through and swell your hair strands. The result is frizzy hair.

1) Oh really that’s all I need is Vinegar

Who wants to smell like a salt and vinegar bag of potato chips? You probably think the only benefit you will receive from a vinegar hair treatment is smelling like a bottle of vinegar. Do you know how strong vinegar smells? Take a direct smell from a vinegar bottle and you will know what I mean. But the reality is that vinegar really can get rid of frizzy hair. It may leave a very unpleasant odor in your hair but this is only temporary and you will be free of frizzy hair.

Here’s what you do. Add one tablespoon of wine vinegar to a cup of water and massage it into your hair and scalp. Vinegar is a powerful and natural way to remove frizzy hair. The side benefits are it will condition your hair and make it shine. Use this potent treatment once a twice a week and say goodbye to frizzy hair forever. It will give you great results if you keep applying the solution. Vinegar isn’t that expensive and you most likely have a bottle somewhere in your house.

2) Eggs anyone!

This has got to be even stranger than using vinegar to remove frizzy hair? An egg treatment? Eggs are wonderful for eating but as a frizzy hair treatment? Someone wasn’t thinking clearly when they suggested cracking a couple of eggs and saturating your hair and scalp with it. In reality though eggs can help in an frizzy hair treatment. Yes who read right eggs for frizzy hair. Oh sure like I want to look like an omelette!

Simply, grab an egg out of your local refrigerator. Whip an egg in some tepid water but don’t boil the water so hot you could fry an egg on top of your head. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp gently then rinse out with warm water not water that is boiling hot. Don’t shampoo your hair after you are done with the egg treatment just apply conditioner to your hair and you don’t need to shampoo it. The egg will restore the shine and luster to your hair. And it will remove the frizz out of your hair as well.

3) Avocado Again

We have heard a lot about the amazing avocado. It can treat anything under the sun. It may be an exaggeration to say it can treat anything but it sure can help with frizzy hair. Make sure you don’t eat the avocado before you try the treatment. Mash one ripe avocado and mix it in with two tablespoons of coconut oil and make tie mix into a paste. (use your blender) Slap it on your head and leave it there for 20-30 minutes as a hair mask then shampoo and condition. Use this treatment once or twice a week and you will see some solid results. It will fight frizzy hair, condition the hair naturally, remove split ends, and nourish your hair.

4) Banana Hair Mask

Don’t even think about it. You have got to be kidding. There is no way I’m going to mash up a banana and put it in my hair. I don’t care if I have frizzy hair or not. You know what you will care after you see the results the banan treatment will deliver for your frizzy hair. Bananas absolutely do an outstanding job in nourishing and conditioning the hair naturally. They also do a superb job relieving dryness and fighting frizzy hair. Follow these steps to make the banana hair mask:

Place one ripe banana, two tablespoons of olive oil, one tablespoon of honey in your blender and

Push the button. Apply this mixture to your hair for 20-30 minutes then shampoo and condition. Say goodbye to dry and frizzy hair. Yes, your hair may smell like a banana sundae but it will well worth the effort. You will look in the mirror and see a different person that frizzy hair will be a thing of the past.

5) Cool the shampooing

This is a different approach instead of adding something to your hair, you will be removing a component from your haircare routine. All you have to do is cut back on the number of times you shampoo your hair. Granted everyone wants to have clean and shiny hair. But the reality is shampooing daily can damage and dry out the hair. It will extract all the natural moisture from your hair. Try shampooing the hair every two or three days and try milder shampoos in your wash phase.

6) Don’t Blow all the Moisture out of your Hair

This is a simple but effective method. You can cut down on the time you actually blow dry your hair. When you blow dry your hair to much, you will extract all the natural oils and moisture out of it. You will even shrink your hair strands. Try setting your hairdryer to a cooler setting as well. This will stop your hair from drying out and frizzing. It will also decrease the damage done to your hair.

7) Hey don’t Brush your Hair like that

Did you know that brushing your hair the wrong way can contribute to frizzy hair. And if you keep brushing your hair the wrong way you will only make the frizzy hair worse. The drier your hair the easier it will break and become frizzy. So, don’t brush your hair until your arm falls off or all your hair falls out. And never use violent and harsh brushing strokes. Again, this will make your hair even frizzier than it is.  Another tip to avoid frizzy hair and breakage don’t use harsh movements when you dry your hair with a towel.

8) Oh that Coconut Oil Again

There are a few methods you can use with coconut oil to remove frizzy hair. Start out by calming your hair down. Massage slightly warm coconut oil into your scalp and hair. (not coconut oil that is red hot and on fire because you don’t want the fire trucks to come flying to your house) Leave the coconut oil in your hair and scalp for about 20 to 40 minutes. (the warm oil will penetrate your scalp and pores leaving your hair beautiful and conditioned) Now, shampoo and condition your hair.

Another method using coconut oil to remove frizz is to add one teaspoon of coconut oil to your regular shampoo. Mix your usual dose of air shampoo with one teaspoon of coconut oil in your palm. (if you have thin area use less oil) Wash your hair with it and you will like the results. Your hair will be nourished, fuzz free, shiny, and moisturized.

The third method involving coconut oil is for coarse, thick, and wavy hair. Take a pea-sized drop of coconut oil and rub it between your hands and work it through your hair extensively concentrating on the middle lengths and ends.(don’t bring it near the roots of your hair because you would a leave-in conditioner in this case) This quick tip will get rid of the “frizz” in your hair. The natural oils of your hair will nourish your hair, fight split ends, and gloss and shine.

 9) Stay away From Hair Gadgets and Hair Curlers

There are times when you will want to curl your hair but don’t do it very often and don’t use hair curlers very often either. Because if you do you will leave your hair drier and frizzier. Let your hair rest and recuperate. Your hair is at it’s best when it is left to it’s natural beauty. Let your hair shine naturally.

10) No razors on your locks

When you get your haircut always tell the hairstylist you don’t want them to use a razor on your locks. Always request they use scissors. Razors will slide down the hair shaft and destroy the end which will create split ends and frizzy hair. The more a razor is used on the hair the worse the frizzies and split ends will get.

11) Protect your Hair

 Protect your Hair

This is a very simple and practical solution. Cover your head to protect your hair. Wear a hat outside when you will go out in extreme weather conditions. Both sunlight and cold weather will make your hair frizzy. So protect your hair from these natural elements and you will avoid developing frizzy hair.

12) Get out those deep-conditioning Treatments

You may enjoy using heating gadgets and you use them often your hair will get damaged and the hair will become frizzy. To protect against this frizzy hair it’s advisable to weekly deep conditioning treatments or leave-in hair conditioners. This will revitalize dehydrated hair. Plus it will remove all the frizz out of your hair.

13) Use those Silicone-Based Hair Products

Silicone-based hair products may sound like they would damage the hair extensively because of too many chemicals. But the reality is that silicone-based hair products will strengthen your hair and remove frizzy hair. The silicone-based products will add shine and luster to otherwise dull and dry looking hair.

14) Silk pillowcases to the Rescue

This has to be researched further but it has been suggested that if you sleep on a silk pillowcase it will help deal with hair frizz. There is really no scientific support for this method.

15) Vitamin E Oil Again

Mix Vitamin E oil with sweet almond oil in proportions of 1:5. (in other words one tablespoon of vitamin E to five tablespoons of sweet almond oil) Slightly warm up the oil mixture and then massage your scalp with it using your fingertips and spread it to the length of your hair. Leave it in for 30-40 minutes then shampoo and condition. Warm water massages will work wonders for hydrating and nourishing your hair. It will also make your hair more manageable and frizz free.

You may also use other oils for your weekly warm oil scalp massages and hair treatments: olive oil, coconut oil, burdock root oil, sweet almond oil, avocado oil, argan oil, and jojoba oil. These oils will also help alleviate frizzy hair.

16) Braid that Hair

This is one of the easiest and certainly the cheapest of methods to help you hide frizzy hair is to put your hair in a ponytail or braid it. If you are in a hurry and don’t have time for the extensive and sometimes expensive hair treatments then braid your hair or put it into a ponytail. This is a quick fix for the person on the go. It will hide your frizzy hair until you can stop to take the time to find a more permanent fix.  Sometimes the very things you are doing to your hair to prevent it from frizzing are the very things that will cause it to frizz.

17) Cool those heating tools down

If you use high heat settings on your styling tools your hair is in trouble. You set the temperature too high on the styling tool then the heat will lift the hair cuticles up allowing moisture into the hair strands causing swelling the end result will be frizzy hair. We talked about this cause at the top of the article. So, set your styling tools to 365 degrees fahrenheit. This will minimize the potential for frizzy hair to appear.

18) Use Sulfate Free Hair Shampoos

This may be a relatively cost-effective method for ridding yourself of frizzy hair. Buy and use sulfate free hair shampoos because sulfates really dry the hair out. Then your hair becomes a magnet for moisture which will lead to frizzy hair. Sulfate free shampoos that are high in glycerin is the answer. Glycerin coats the hair with moisture from the inside out and seals the hair strands from absorbing outside moisture.

19) Use a Flat Iron With Teeth for that extra Punch

By using a flat iron with teeth it will help to straighten hair by using extra straightening power on it. The teeth create extra tension in the hair strands.Coupled with the heat ,the tool generates, it will really help to smooth out your hair.

20) Use a Diffuser for Curly Hair

If you have curly hair it will help you avoid getting frizzy hair by using a diffuser. Attach a diffuser to your hair dryer. The diffuser decreases the force of the air blowing out of the hair dryer. This keeps hair from moving around while you dry it. This is beneficial for curly hair and it will minimize the risk of frizzy hair developing.

21) Don’t touch that hair

This method is very easy to apply and it’s absolutely free. Don’t touch your hair! Everytime you touch your hair you are breaking up its natural pattern.Which can cause frizz so leave your hair alone.
